Chen Fengxin is currently the curator of the National Academy of Painting Art Museum of China, the deputy secretary general of the Chinese Painting Society, and the deputy director of the Institute of Photography Art of the National Academy of Painting. Ban Ding, formerly known as Chen Nian (1876--1970), served as a director of the Chinese Artists Association, vice president of Beijing Painting Academy, and president of the Chinese Painting Research Association. He studied poetry, writing and painting at a young age, under the tutelage of Wu Changshuo, absorbing various painting methods from Ming and Qing dynasties and became unique.
